Joan Chen (“Mrs. Young”): Joan Chen is an internationally respected Chinese actress, director, screenwriter, and producer. Popular and critically acclaimed (with numerous awards and nominations), she is best known for her roles in movies ranging from The Last Emperor, Tai Pan, Heaven & Earth, to Mao’s Last Dancer, Saving Face, Jasmine Women, The Home Song Stories, Dim Sum: A Little Bit of Heart, The Sun Also Rises, and Lust, Caution. She was also a big favorite in Twin Peaks (TV Series). Her directorial debut in 1998, Xiu Xiu: The Sent Down Girl, won multiple awards, including the Golden Horse for Best Director, the Special Jury Prize at the Paris Film Festival, and the Jury Award at the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival. In 2000, Joan Chen directed Autumn in New York, starring Richard Gere and Winona Ryder.
